What do you love most about the work you do? – Listening to peoples stories, providing good evidence based medicine and healthcare, seeing improvements in people’s health and the ongoing and longitudinal relationship developed with patients.
What motivated you to get involved with your line of work? – I was working as a primary care doctor and seeing people with substance use disorders and Addictions and seeing a lot of the same patients with significant trauma histories and sometimes dealing with inter generational trauma. It was hard but rewarding work which continues to sustain me.
