Chief Executive, Visit Belfast
Gerry Lennon has been Chief Executive of Visit Belfast since October 2000, during a period of intense tourism growth for Belfast. As the city’s official Destination Marketing Organisation, Visit Belfast’s core purpose is to create and service visitors for Belfast in order to generate economic benefit for the city region creating jobs and wealth.
Previously, Gerry held senior tourism positions with various local government authorities including Belfast City Council and gained a wide range of senior management experience across urban and rural tourism development and the telecommunications industry. He has also held non-executive board positions with Northern Ireland Transport Holding Company, the National Trust, the Cathedral Quarter Trust and the Titanic Foundation.
A native of Armagh, Gerry holds a number of academic qualifications, including an MBA gained from Ulster University.
