After graduating with a social sciences degree, Fergus Cumiskey began working as a residential social worker, he then pioneered the crisis suicide prevention hotline ‘Lifeline’. Fergus is now the clinical director of Contact NI, a service that provides information on counselling services in NI and useful information about mental health services in NI. Fergus Cumiskey, has also delivered talks in suicide for TEDxStormont and has held conferences such as “Suicide Prevention – What Works?”. He links international evidence to his conviction that every suicide is preventable until the last moment of life.
