Elspeth Messenger has a private clinic online and in Edinburgh. She worked for years with students, witnessing the struggle some of them had with anxiety, with relationships, with family difficulties and with addictions and decided to study for an MSc in Counselling/Psychotherapy at the University of Edinburgh.

In 2014 Elespeth qualified as a somatic experience counsellor. Elspeth integrates a variety of trainings with a long-standing interest in the inclusivity of Franciscan spirituality, valuing and being present to all living things, and including the body in an understanding of psychological and emotional healing.
