Senior Clinical Advisor at Mental Health Innovations
Dr. Pienaar is the clinical advisor at Mental Health Innovations, a charity that uses digital innovation, data-driven analysis and the experience of clinical experts to improve the mental health of the UK population through the provision of digital tools, support and resources. Dr. Pienaar was also the former director of clinical services for children’s mental health charity ‘Place2Be’. She has also done research on children’s experience of stress and coping. Dr. Pienaar has over 30 years of experience teaching primary and intermediate schools, special needs education, counselling in schools and further and higher education institutes. Dr. Pienaar has a PhD in Behavioural Science from the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at the University of Auckland, a MEd in Counselling and various other counselling, teaching and special needs qualifications.
