Alex is the current Group Director of Inspire’s Mental Health & Addiction Services. Alex has managed mental health and addiction support services for over 17 years across Northern Ireland, working primarily in communities impacted by trauma and conflict.

Alex has worked extensively in developing approaches to support the recovery of people, in particular those impacted by trauma and addiction. Alex is a strong advocate for person centred care and challenges some approaches which look to label, diagnose and create barriers for people with co-occuring conditions, such as trauma and addiction.
