Leslie Korn, PhD, MPH is a Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Public Health-trained traumatologist who specializes in Integrative Medicine and Nutrition. She has been in clinical practice for 45 years. She is a licensed psychotherapist and board-certified clinical supervisor. She is board-certified in 2 forms of bodywork therapy, and certified in Functional Nutritional Therapy. She introduced yoga and bodywork therapies in the out-patient departments at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital, a public health urban hospital in Boston in 1983 and at Cambridge Hospital, Harvard Medical School in 1985. She lived and worked in in the jungle of Mexico for 25 years where she studied with indigenous healers, was a Fulbright research scholar and continues to direct a public health clinic specializing in community trauma. She was principal investigator in mind body therapies funded by National Institutes of Health and she directs research on traditional medicine at the Center for World Indigenous Studies, an indigenous non-profit organization. She is the author of 9 books including 2 textbooks, Nutrition Essentials for Mental Health, and Rhythms of Recovery: Trauma, Nature, and the Body. She has a telehealth practice, mentors clinicians, and conducts 3 online integrative medicine and nutrition certification trainings in trauma, complex trauma and traumatic brain injury, diabetes and dementia, and mental health.
