The Trauma Summit returns to Belfast on 17th & 18th June 2024! Bringing together the world’s leading experts in the field of trauma and trauma recovery. Over the two days, trauma experts will present their latest research and understanding of trauma and trauma recovery, discuss modalities and how trauma affects both individuals, families and communities. The Trauma Summit will welcome 40+ speakers, 1000+ in-person delegates and 1500+ virtual delegates. All delegates will have 6 months online access, post event.
The Trauma Summit creates space for everyone to network either virtually or in-person, meet delegates from around the world, take part in live Q & A sessions and meet with both virtual and live exhibitors. With over 55 hours of content, you will be spoilt for choice, but you won’t miss a thing! With both tickets you will have six months full access to all content to watch at a time convenient for you.
All Action Trauma conferences are CPD accredited and you will gain a minimum of 18 CPD points (With the option of earning more when you watch the presentations you missed online).
Nuala McKeever is a professional comedy writer and performer and an amateur student of the human condition. After having her own show on television, she has written five plays, the most recent of which, In The Window, toured to Edinburgh, the USA and India.
Nuala is a regular occasional presenter on BBC Radio Ulster. After the death of her partner in 2013, she became interested in the practice of Zen Buddhism, taking lay vows in 2017.
During lockdown she managed to finish her first novel (writing, not reading!) stay sane and put on weight. She lives in Belfast with her cat Lolli and an addiction to potato crisps that she has just wrestled into submission.
Nuala is currently writing a new stand up comedy show for the Open House in Bangor this August.
Jane Mulcahy is a Research Fellow with REPPP leading the Whitetown pilot project at the University of Limerick.
She graduated with her PhD in Law from University College Cork in 2020 on the topic of “Connected Corrections and Corrected Connections: post-release supervision of long sentence male prisoners”.
Enlighten are the senior group from Ajendance NI.
The group ranges from ages 16 to 18 years. They are studying many different styles of movement art, but the style they will be performing at the Trauma Summit is Lyrical Movement – storytelling and connecting through the music. They are thrilled to be performing live at the Trauma Summit 2022 and are always grateful to share their gift of movement with new audiences.
Eileen Beamish, Director, Well Being in Mind Limited
(MSc BSc HDip, NLP, Former CMC)
As a former Certified Management Consultant, Eileen has over 30 years of experience of evaluating initiatives aimed at improving public health and wellbeing and healing addiction / underlying trauma. Her meta-analysis of three decades of research revealed a series of factors that consistently produced success. This motivated her to establish Well Being in Mind Limited in 2017.
A multi-disciplinary scientist, experienced facilitator, meditator and accomplished musician (harpist), Eileen has had the privilege of receiving advanced one to one coaching on Neuro Linguistic Practitioners (NLP) from one of the world’s leading NLP trainers.
Using results from contemporary neuroscience on the impact of particular music and language on wellbeing, Eileen creates sessions and programmes that enable people to have fun and relax as they effortlessly activate their capacity to renew and revitalise from within.
Well Being In Mind’s operates a trauma-informed practice. Clients include employers, carers, relatives and services users of hospices, hospitals, rehabilitation centres, care homes, supported livings, community settings and other therapeutic locations including organic gardens.

Conferences are expensive to run. Speakers and their costs must be paid. There is also planning and promotion to pay for. Action Trauma is committed to increasing the awareness of psychological trauma, its many causes, widespread effects, and the many ways of treating and healing it. We are a not-for-profit organisation, and the delegate fees are at a rate which tries to cover operational costs. For what we offer, our fees are much less than most other similar events.
