Event Detail

Overview

This webinar will give attendees a better understanding of how to teach & talk about Breathwork practices and share the benefits whilst also giving the practitioner an opportunity to regulate their own nervous system. Many of us know the benefits of Breathwork and Yoga in supporting Nervous System regulation and yet many of us find it very difficult to engage in regular practice. Experiences will also be shared on how practice can be used to help clients gain valuable insights into their own bodies and conditions. We will also explore what the blocks are to creating regular practice, for those living with Trauma and Long- Term illness and the impact consistent practice has shown to have had. This is a practical session with an opportunity to ask questions and get feedback.

Who Should Attend?

Anyone who wishes to deepen their experience and understanding of using the breath & body as a tool to go deeper in their own practice.

Benefits of Attending

  • Understand the blocks to engagement and common experiences shared for people with long term illness / trauma

Breathe and Recover was founded with the aim that everyone, everywhere is trained in Nervous System awareness and Trauma informed practice by having access to the Living Yoga Method ™

Iain, Fran and Lauren are part of a much bigger Yogic community from the Yoga Sanctuary in Southampton, UK where they continue to practice with their Teacher Steve Harrison.

In their previous positions working with the NHS and Military they identified a need for training on the Body Mind connection and how threat manifested in the body physically as well as mentally.

They discovered that the Living Yoga Method ™ teachings were incredibly powerful and could be adapted to working with people with Illness, Injury and Trauma and simply wanted to bring the Science and Practice together for anyone who was curious and ready to do the work.
